Fixed Grid

- Disc, Tube, Panel, and Streamline options
- Floor mounted; ideal for concrete basin
- Supports highest-density applications

Tube14

EDI Fixed Grid Piping Systems are ideal for conventional tank applications where access to the reactor for installation and system maintenance is available. The system is engineered for maximum long-term economic value and reliability, is based on design methodologies and system components specifically developed to meet customers' needs, and is customized for each application.

The airflow requirement for each pipe section is evaluated and the appropriate pipe size is selected for low head loss. This helps ensure uniform air release between diffusers and a low system operating pressure. There is no size limit on drop and header sections. Distribution laterals for the DISC System option are commonly 3 inches (90 mm) and 4 inches (110 mm), though other sizes are available. Distribution laterals for the TUBE System option are available from 3 inches (90 mm) to 8 inches (160 mm).

Floating Lateral

- Retrievable units without dewatering for low maintenance
- Supports uneven floors with suspended units
- For low intensity and conventional F/M

EDI Three

EDI Floating Lateral Aeration System is a unique solution when maximum installation flexibility and maintenance are required. The system is ideally suited for applications where the basin cannot be taken off-line for either installation or maintenance. The system floats on the water's surface. Individual diffuser assemblies are fully accessible from the water surface allowing maintenance to be completed without draining the basin or interrupting the process. Suspended diffuser assemblies are available when uneven floow elevations exist of when the basin construction will not accommodate or support the diffuser assembly. Ballasted diffuser assemblies that rest on the basin floor are available for basins with level earthen, concrete, or steel floors.

The EDI Floating Lateral Aeration System is designed to withstand significant external forces from wind, heat, ice, and varying water level conditions. Each component and total integrated system is engineered for maximum system integrity and field reliability. Heavy-wall, high-density polyethylene pipe and welded construction are standard for all connections. Inline and optional cross restraint cables are used to maintain the position of the components.

Submerged Lateral

- Well suited for cold environments with air piping ballasted to basin floor
- Retrievable units without draining; low maintenance
- Well suited for aeration intensity lagoons

Submerged Lateral

EDI Submerged Lateral Lagoon Aeration System is a fitting solution when maximum system durability and maintenance are required.

The system is ideally suited for the most rigorous applications where the basin cannot be taken off-line for system maintenance. The piping system is ballasted and rests on the basin floor. Individual diffuser assemblies are fully accessible from the water surface allowing maintenance to be completed without draining the basin or interrupting the process.

Virtually indestructible, it features high-density polyethylene pipe for maximum durability. The ballasting system is specifically designed to withstand the large thermal expansion associated with HDPE. Each component and total integrated system is engineered for maximum system integrity and proven field reliability. Heavy-wall, high-density polyethylene pipe and welded construction are standard for all connections.

The mechanical design of the EDI Submerged Lateral Lagoon Aeration System performance has been field demonstrated in the most rigorous conditions. When applied in cold climates, complete basin freeze-over is not uncommon.

The EDI Submerged Lateral Lagoon Aeration System is available with FlexAir Tube diffusers for energy efficiency and low maintenance. A coarse bubble diffuser option is also available when energy efficiency is not a significant concern.

ModuleAir System

- Modular units resting on reactor floor
- Individually retrievable modules for maintenance without dewatering
- Supports highest-density aeration applications

ModuleAir

EDI ModuleAir System is ideal for applications where online system reliability and operating performance are mandatory. The system allows individual grids to be installed, accessed, or removed without draining or taking the reactor out of service.

This system is available in varying diameters and lengths depending on application needs. Systems up to 60 ft (18 m) and air capacities up to 2000 scfm (3400 sm3/h) have been supplied.

For tank applications, EDI ModuleAir System rests directly on the reactor floor. The assembly is typically lifted and dropped into position with an overhead crane.

For lagoon applications, EDI ModuleAir System is provided with adjustable base plates. The system is typically floated and lowered into position. Adjustable base plates allow the system to be leveled from the water surface.

EDI ModuleAir is ideal for single-reactor applications where online installation and maintenance is required. Applications requiring supplemental oxygen supply, mixing, or energy upgrades are also suitable.

Standard material of construction is stainless steel. This provides the required structural performance to support large grids. Alternate materials of construction, including galvanized steel and non-metal materials, are also available.

STREAMLINE
High Performance Panel Diffuser

Getting the perfect fine bubble aeration system is easy when you StreamLineTM. A departure from standard practice, the EDI StreamLineTM aeration solution utilizes innovative integral diffusers, tubular membranes, and inline support components to deliver a new level of simplicity and service life never before available.

StreamLine Piping

Step One: Choose Your Piping

The piping is the foundation of the aeration system. Careful Consideration should be taken to determine which material is right for your specific application

Step Two: Choose Your Membrane

EDI offers an extensive array of membranes to fit any unique wastewater application.

Step Three: Choose Your Perforation

Choosing the optimal perforation pattern assures premium (long-term) performance. EDI offers 3 perforation categories.
